Lakshman Gagh', also known as chadi in maps and official documents, it is considered as chadi. It is popular and usually the name is taken as lakshman nagar . Lashman nagar was ruled by the landlord of that area which are known as zamindar. It is a hereditary ruling system which was till there till India got independence. For centuries and time more than that this area was ruled by a royal zamindar family Maderna family. The notable and famous personalty for that area were Lashman singh ji maderna which were the second last zamindar of that area. Lashman singh ji maderna had a very popular image of been a kind hearted but he was a very brave and justice loving personality. He and his ancestors ruled the area for more than a half thousand years.
The last zamindar (landlord) of this area were Nathuram ji maderna. The last landlord Sill had more than 2000 bigah zamin (land) with him. this land is more than 1300 acres of land.
The royal land owning and ruling of area was finished after Independence of India about today also the royal family of this areas the maderna famiy own the land for about 2000 bigah (1300 acres) but because of indian laws a person can not own more than 500 bigah land individually this land is distributed in various members of family .

Much of this area is harsh and come in marwar region which means land of dryness and death. The domestic animal are cow speed and camels but horses make a very important role in every day living because horses of this area are were strong and known as marwari horses which means living being of marwar .
The area also contains black buck and chinkara deer, rare wild desert fox and Indian wild neeligay (indian deer). Hunting of black buck and chikara was a very popular sport played by the royal zamindar family.
